Skillhive uses advanced application programming interfaces (API) which enable organizations to integrate their existing HR or intranet systems with Skillhive smoothly and without any lengthy IT-projects.
Identity management can be easily integrated to your existing Active Directory (LDAP/AD). Therefore users do not have to remember separate usernames or passwords. They can simply use the same login information as in the other systems the organization utilizes. AD/LDAP integration also enables automated user management which means that Skillhive users can be created, updated and deleted automatically. Also personal information (name, department, location, email) can be retrieved from the LDAP/AD server, therefore users do not have to fill in the same information repeatedly. This also speeds up the implementation phase and facilitates the usage.
In addition to the identity management integration we have implemented different Single Sign-On (SSO) methods. With SSO users do not have to input their passwords or usernames to login to Skillhive. The user only has to login to the organization’s intranet or other similar system.
Skillhive’s interfaces enable the transfer of any information to other systems. For example all the information on Skillhive´s user profiles (skills, interests, achievements) can be transferred into other existing systems. Organization´s search engines (intranet, etc.) can also be integrated with Skillhive making it possible to do searches in Skillhive using the organization’s intranet.
