# Training applications



The **Learning Content** functionality in Skillhive supports:

-   training and course management
-   training calendar
-   approval workflows
-   application handling
-   reporting

## 1\. Training Events in Skillhive

If a training event is configured with:

> “Manager approval required”

### Applying

-   Click **Apply**
-   Add optional justification
-   The application is forwarded to the manager

## 2\. Manager Processing (My Team View)

Managers process applications via:

**My Team → Training Applications**

The application displays:

-   Training name
-   Date and duration (hours)
-   Description
-   Location
-   Participant limits (min–max)
-   Cost
-   Submission timestamp

Managers can:

-   Approve
-   Reject

Users receive a notification once processed.

## 3\. Applying to External Training

A **Training Application Template** can be used to apply for external courses.

### Creating from Template

1.  Select the training application template.
2.  Click **Use this template**.
3.  Edit title (add course name).
4.  Fill required details:

-   Organizer
-   Dates
-   Duration
-   Location
-   Cost

1.  Add additional description.
2.  Attach program (Files) or link (Links).
3.  Submit via **Apply**.

When approved:

-   Training data is automatically added to the user profile.
-   Included in training reports.

## 4\. Cancelling Participation

Approved participants may cancel:

-   Via **Participating / Applied** button
-   Unless cancellation restrictions are configured

Users must cancel participation in Skillhive to ensure reporting accuracy.

## 5\. Special Notes

### Visibility

-   Template-based applications are restricted (invite-only) by default.
-   Managers and administrators still receive applications for approval.

Applications created via **Create New**:

-   Are visible to regular users by default.
-   Do not automatically add managers as members.
-   Managers receive an approval link only.

### Multiple Applicants

One application swarm can include multiple applicants by adding them as members.
